Tambunan Hospital is located on lying Hill Surrounded by hills of the Crocker Range and away by one kilometer from the Tambunan Town proper. Tambunan Hospital is accessible from Kota Kinabalu by the undulating metalloid road, which is 80 Kilometers away. It is serving the entire population of the almost 30,000 people. One of the most important units in the Hospital serving the public is the Pharmacy Unit; it caters drugs and non-drugs to all the units available in the Hospital. There are only two Health Centers that are serving the public in terms of Simple treatment and diagnosing, and these two Health Centers occasionally come to the Pharmacy for supply of drugs and non-drugs.

The Pharmacy Staff are well occupied serving the General public, which total up to an average of 150 per day. In conjunction with the service given to the public are the preparation of Prepackaged Tablets Mixtures, Lotion, Creams / Ointments, dilution of freshly prepared syrups and extemporaneous preparations. Professional services like Drugs Information and Counseling are also being carried out when required and necessary.
1. Representing the Pengarah in Attending Meetings organized by the Local District
Officers.
2. Organizing Talks/ Seminars on Drugs & misuse of Drugs/Dadah to Secondary Schools
And Private Organizations.
3. Attending meetings and seminars organized by our own department / Hospital.
4. Weekly / official Central Medical Store and other Drugs & Medical supplies in
Kota Kinabalu.
5. Distribution of information on slow moving Items like drugs and non-drugs to all
Hospitals in order to avoid wastage of slow moving drugs.
