 Introduction

The pharmacy and supplies services are among the services offered by the 150 bedded Kota Belud Hospital. Presently a senior pharmacy assistant supervises the unit comprising the pharmacy and store. A special demeanor that sets them apart distinguishes the people who serve at the pharmacy and supplies unit. They are gentle, compassionate in trying times; understanding with infinite patience yet goes about their business contently, superior in knowledge of their work. Three staff of the pharmacy and supplies unit with outstanding performances has been recognized by the Sabah State Medical Department through excellent service awards.

OBJECTIVE

To ensure adequate supplies of medicine to patient as prescribed.
To give adequate information to patient/user on the drug supplied.
To ensure pharmaceutical preparations produced are of quality, effective, safe and sufficient for hospital and health use.
To ensure adequate supply of Drug and Non-Drug from time to time.

A counseling room for patients to maximize patient contact and counseling on drug usage.

CONCLUSION

Our pharmacy personnel are committed and will continue to serve the community better and contribute toward achieving the pharmacy vision of the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Indeed, the pharmacy and supplies unit of the Kota Belud Hospital is one of those places that leaves an impression no matter how small or great.
