Started operation on 28th.January
, 1985.
Objective.
- Ensure that the management
, procurement, control of stock and cost is carried out smoothly so that the supply of drugs and non-drugs is always sufficient.
- To provide pharmaceutical service that is efficient and meets the needs of all patients by ensuring that all medicines are given in a correct manner and of a high quality
, correct dosage and strength with accurate explanation of drug usage all according to the requirements as specified in the patient’s charter.
- To control the usage of
dangerous (poisonous) drugs and psychotropic drugs.
- To ensure continuous education on the rational usage of drugs.
- To ensure sufficient glenical preparations that meets the specified standard requirements for the usage of the hospital and other needs.
- To ensure strict control to avoid misuse and wastage of drugs and medicine
- To control the receiving and issuing of any item, ensure sufficiency of stocks and to prevent wastage and overstocking as compared to the actual usage
- To implement good storage system and to meet all the requirements of store management.
